Key Achievements of 2022-23

  • Dr Ravinder Kumar (Lecturer MLT) was honoured with the best polytechnic teacher award 2022 for the Punjab region by the Indian Society of Technical Education.
  • 5 teams of students participated in state-level INNO-TECH 2023 held on 18-19th March 2023. A project titled ‘Harmful to useful’ won first prize under the polytechnic college students category in this event.
  • Innovation Cell organized the ‘Technovatee 2022’ technical festival from 12.5.2022 to 13.5.2022.
  • Harsheen Kaur (student, CSE) got 3rd prize in the solo dance event in the youth festival Punjab 2022, held at GPW Amritsar
  • Boys’ Badminton team bagged 3rd position in PTIS Games 2023, held at GPW Amritsar

Key Achievements of 2021-22

  • 5 teams of students participated in INNO-TECH 2022 held on 19th March 2022. A project titled ‘Disaster Management System’ won first prize under the polytechnic college students category.
  • 4 teams of students participated in India International Science Festival 2021 held on 11-12 December 2021, Goa. A project titled ‘Musical multilingual trash bin’.
  • Two students of the college were awarded first and third prizes at a competition “Mecharena’2022” organized by Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran.

  • Award of Honour to Sh. Subodh Bansal (Programmer) for work in Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

  • A Prestigious company SML Isuzu a Japanese giant has conducted a Campus Placement activity on 19/01/2016. Ten Students got Shortlisted.
  • Staff and students of our institute have participated in Republic Day Celebrations with full enthusiasms.

  • Gagandeep Singh Student of Mechanical Engineering is in the Merit List of Punjab State Board of Technical Education.
  • Amrinder Kaur student of this institute has won 3rd Prize in Lok Geet in PTIS Youth Festival.
  • Bikramjeet Singh student of Computer Engineering has recruited by HCL India Ltd through Campus placement.
  • Ten Students have gone for apprenticeship in Swaraj Mahindra
  • Lakhveer Singh and Gagandeep Singh of Mechanical Engineering have been selected by Godrej India Ltd.
  • Two Faculty members of the institute have attended a workshop conducted by Oracle India at Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) at Chandigarh.

Key Achievements of 2013-14

  • Institute hosted in/off campus interview with M/S HCL INFOSYSTEMS LTD , M/S GODREJ INDIA LTD , M/S JINDLE STEEL WORKS LTD,various companies under MOHALI INDUSTIRES ASSOCIATION and many other companies thus shortlisting 110 students and selecting 33 students till date.More selection results are awaited.
  • Institute has implemented SPOKEN TUTORIALS scheme from IIT BOMBAY for software development by our students
  • Our Students of Electronics & Communication Department has brought laurels to the institute by winning 2rd prize in prestigious PTIS State Level Technical festival held at CT Polytechnic Shahpur,Jalandhar.
  • College was successful in holding Inter Polytechnic Zonal Badminton Tournament of PTIS Punjab games.
  • Institute successfully conducted Workshop on ROBOTICS by Elvek Lab.
  • Workshop conducted on “Enterprenuership Orientation Programme “by NSIC (National small industries corporation Ltd)in the college campus.

  • Students of Mechanical Department won 3rd prize in State Level Technical festival held at GPW Jalandhar on 23rd April, 2k13.
  • Inter Polytechnic Zonal Tournament of indoor game– Badminton was hosted by college & both team from this college emerged victorious in this tournament.
  • An Inter Departmental Quiz was conducted during this session and computer department students bagged the first prize.
  • The 9th Annual College Athletics Meet was also held on 19 March, 2013 and the winners of various jumps, throws and track events were honored.
  • Tug-of-war event of college male staff was a special attraction which was enjoyed by the spectators.
  • A Techno Fest organized on 17th April, 2013, where students displayed their projects, KIOSK information system, Automatic Electrical appliances control in office, Digital Display.
  • An exhibition on windows 8, was organized by this institute

Key Achievements of 2011-12

  • During 2011-12 Avish, a student of Mechanical Engineering Department, has bagged third position in the 4th semester of Punjab State Technical Education Board Exams.
  • Inter Polytechnic Zonal Tournament of two indoor games- Badminton and Table Tennis was hosted by college & both team from this college emerged victorious in this tournament.
  • An Inter Departmental Quiz was conducted during this session and computer department students bagged the first prize.
  • A Techno Fest organized on 12 April, 2012, where students displayed their projects such as increasing the fuel efficiency of car, Hovercraft, Automatic Car Parking System, Design and Fabrication of Multi-Purpose CNC Machine and Isometric Drafter,LPG Leakage Display with Alert, PC Controlled Robotics etc.
  • The college has made its mark at the Inter Polytechnic Youth Festival-2012 by securing the third position in three different events, i.e., Folk Song (Boys), Folk Song (Girls) and Giddha.
  • The 8th Annual College Athletics Meet, a display of agility, stamina and speed on the tracks, was also held on 14 March, 2012 and the winners of various jumps, throws and track events were honored.
  • Tug-of-war event of college male staff was a special attraction which was thoroughly enjoyed by the spectators.
  • A seminar on “Developing Leadership and Motivational Skills among Staff” was conducted on 13July, 2011
  • Ten industrial visits ,and an equal number of expert lectures were organized by the various departments to equip the students with practical skills and exposure to the industrial environment.
  • A Job fair “Career Shine 2k12” was organized on 18th April 2012 and 8 companies recruited 93 students of this college .
  • Various prestigious companies like Suzuki Powertrain India Ltd, Gurgaon,Krishna Autos Ltd,Gurgaon,Godrej India ltd,Groz Bracket India Ltd,Luminous Inverters,Tata business support services etc. has visited so far ,for campus placement during 2011-12 .
  • The 5th Annual cultural cum Prize distribution function “INNOVISION-2K12” was organized on , 23rd April, 2012.

Key Achievements of 2008-09

  • The college Girls’ Badminton Team bagged the first prize in the state level Inter Polytechnic College Games-2009 held at Govt Polytechnic College for Girls, Ludhiana.
  • A Blood Donation Camp was organized on 31 August, 2009 in collaboration with Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Centre, Chandigarh during which the students and staff members of the institute donated blood voluntarily in a big way.
  • To generate awareness amongst the students as well as staff about the need for a clean and green environment and to make them duty-conscious towards the coming generations, the “Van Mahotsav Diwas” was celebrated on 13 August, 2009 in the institute by planting saplings in and around the campus.
  • In a bid to conserve the natural resources, a “Rain Water Harvesting System” was set up in the campus by the institution in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Kharar.
  • The Giddha Team of the institution made the college proud by showcasing their talent in a live telecast of the programme- Giddha Bhangra Gold Cup- on MH1 channel.
  • Gagandeep Gogna, a student of First Semester Computer Engineering Department, brought laurels to the college by standing first in the State Board Exams held in Dec, 2009.
  • The establishment of the “Entrepreneurship Development Cell” approved by the AICTE in the institute is another milestone achieved by the college during 2008-09. The main objective of this scheme is to create an environment for self-employment and entrepreneurship development through formal and non-formal programmes.
  • To facilitate the in-campus placement of the final year students of this college, the institute organized a two-day Job Fest in collaboration with the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training and a renowned placement company Team Lease (India) from 22 August, 2009 to 24 August, 2009. About 1500 students from this institute as well as from the neighbouring technical/engineering institutes keenly participated in this fest, where more than 20 reputed companies of the northern region were invited.
  • Gursharan Kaur, a student of First Semester, Computer Engineering Department, grabbed the third prize in Fancy Dress Competition during the Inter Polytechnic Youth Festival for Girls-2009 held at Govt Polytechnic for Women, Patiala.
  • A rare feat in the history of this college was accomplished by Ramandeep Kaur, a student of Fifth Semester Computer Engineering Department, for receiving the Punjab colour for two consecutive years for her excellent performance at the Punjab state-level Inter Polytechnic Badminton Tournament.
  • A yeoman’s service was rendered to humanity by Ajitpal Singh, a faculty member of Electrical Engineering Department, who has set a record of sorts by donating blood 13 times at regular intervals at various camps organized by the PGIMER and other blood banks.
